Agra the former capital of Hindustan, is a city on the banks of the river Yamuna in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, India.
The golden age of the city began with the Mughals. It was known then as Akbaraba-d and remained the capital of the Mughal Empire under the Emperors Akbar, Jaha-ngi-r and Sha-h Jaha-n. Sha-h Jaha-n later shifted his capital to Sha-hjaha-naba-d in the year 1649.
This most famous Mughul monument was constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, the ‘the Lady of Taj’. It was described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love, for the emperor was heartbroken when Mumtaz, to whom he had been married for 17 years, died in 1629 in childbirth, after giving birth to 14 children. The other major attractions for the tourist is Agra Fort.
DAY 01 : Arrive Delhi We begin our Golden Triangle tour from the Delhi ,the capital city of India which has a rich heritage and culture. We have the famous India Gate in Delhi which has the names inscribed on it of the brave warriors who fought in the Afghan war. The grandeur of Mughal architecture is reflected in the design of Humayan Tomb and the Qutub Minar. The overnight stay is at Delhi .
DAY 02 : Delhi Breakfast at hotel , This day we visit the Chandni Chowk market which is wholesale market , largest in Asia. You can get everything you desire to buy, at this wholesale market. We visit other tourist attractions like Mumtaz Mahal, the Red Fort, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Qutab Minar etc. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 03 : Delhi – Agra Breakfast at hotel . After Breakfast we proceed to Agra to visit visit one of the wonders of the world , the Taj Mahal. A piece of architecture which has a mix of all the traditional styles, built by Shah Jahan for his beloved wife in the year 1652. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 04 : Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Jaipur Breakfast at hotel , Today we take you to a small city which has structures built in red sandstone. It is a fine example of the great architectural works of the Mughal emperors. From here we head towards Jaipur by evening and check into a hotel for the night. Overnight at Jaipur.
DAY 05 : Jaipur – Delhi Breakfast at hotel , Today we take you around the famous city of jaipur , also known as Pink City. we take you to Amer Fort , you can enjoy ride on an Elephant. We also take you to City tour covering City Palace – occupies a large area divided into a series of courtyards, gardens & buildings and a perfect blend of Rajasthani & Mughal architecture, Royal Observatory – An observatory with some rare qualities to its credit, Nawab Sahab Ki Haveli – and the Bazaar etc. After finishing your tour we proceed back to Delhi .
